<![CDATA[Drytac Europe | News]]> http://www.drytac.co.uk/news/ Wed, 10 Mar 2010 21:19:44 +0000 Zend_Feed http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss <![CDATA[First AFC Aqueous Flood Coater to be Installed in France, at EPS]]> http://www.drytac.co.uk/news/first-afc-aqueous-flood-coater-to-be-installed-in-france-at-eps Finishing Equipment & supplies specialist, EPS (Encapsulation Plastification Support) have recently installed an AFC 1600 Aqueous Flood Coater into their showroom in Aôst in France as a first step in their overall plan to launch the full range of Drytac finishing equipment and films in the coming year.

Due to the rising need in today’s current economic climate for ever lower running costs and increased productivity, liquid finishing systems such as the AFC Flood Coater, are increasingly becoming a ‘must-have’ for many companies in the finishing sector.

Not only does it offer lower material costs per square metre (insert figures here) , the AFC also offers the possibility of coating previously difficult or impossible substrates such as non-porous textiles, canvases, vinyls and many other flexible substrates. Furthermore, with its numerous performance features including the TruSpeed Compensator, Dual Quick Disconnect Supply Tanks and an optional secondary IR heater/fan unit, the machine is easy to operate with very little training required.

EPS will be selling all 3 sizes of the machine (1.6m/2.2m and 3.2m) and will also be stocking the complete range of EnduraCoat Aqueous Coatings suitable for a wide range of applications including vehicle graphics, digital wallpaper coverings, outdoor vinyls, banner displays and Giclée work.

EPS plan to install the AFC as a demonstration machine, available for customers to come and see first-hand for live demonstrations and one to one training. Furthermore, for those customers wanting to offer this type of finishing solution but do not have the sufficient demand to justify the investment, EPS will also be offering a production service at competitive prices. Why not call them for a quote?

Thibault Raudet, Production Assistant from EPS said “the AFC is definitely the most innovative and economic lamination technology.. The must have of this new decade.”

<![CDATA[Drytac predict strong future for the laminating industry]]> http://www.drytac.co.uk/news/drytac-predict-strong-future-for-the-laminating-industry Today’s finishing market is sizeable, supporting many multinational/international and local manufacturers of overlaminates and adhesives. Although the laminating industry is expected to remain strong, changes in printing technology will require additional methods of print finishing which includes liquid lamination.

Liquid lamination has been around for a number of years, primarily in the traditional printing industry but now is becoming an accepted and often a preferred option for those in the digital and sign industries. Drytac recognizes this and has taken a proactive approach to ensure that our customers have the ability to offer alternatives to their customers.

Drytac are one of the key players who believe it is still important to remain committed to film laminate in order to carry forward the high quality service their customers require. Recently they invested £150,000 into an advanced pressure chambered doctor blade coating unit which aids the application of film coatings and ensures an ultra smooth finish. This is compatible with both water and solvent based coatings, enabling Drytac to continue to deliver high standards of efficiency, quality and production.

At the same time, Drytac are embracing the strong future they predict in the world of liquid lamination. With the industry guru Jim Tatum representing Drytac’s liquid coating division and the recent purchase of a major U.S. graphic liquid coating operation in June this year, the potential expected in this new technology is clear. As a result of this purchase, the second by Drytac since that of AFS in 2008, Drytac now has their own proprietary liquid manufacturing and bottling plant in Canada and are expected to replicate that in the UK early in 2010.

Strong investments in both film coatings and the new liquid lamination technology and the expansion of Finishing products such as edge finishing equipment for foam boards and environmentally friendly boards such as Xanita (X Board) and Re-Board, ensures that Drytac will be at the forefront of the laminating industry for many years to come.

Customers can look forward with confidence that changes in industry technology will be supported by Drytac with the latest and most advanced methods of print finishing both current and in the future.

<![CDATA[Drytac’s VersaCoater XL UV Coater Set to Transform the Future of Wide Format Liquid Laminating!]]> http://www.drytac.co.uk/news/drytacs-versacoater-xl-uv-coater-set-to-transform-the-future-of-wide-format-liquid-laminating Drytac Europe Ltd, one of the world’s most highly regarded manufacturers of products for graphics finishing and display, have enjoyed an overwhelming response to their brand new VersaCoater XL wide format UV coater, after its UK launch at Sign & Digital UK last month.Drytac’s revolutionary addition to their new generation of liquid laminators, the ultimate wide-format VersaCoater UV XL comes in both 60 and 80 inch widths, and is an exciting new introduction to their already successful liquid range. Whether its posters or POS, flexible or rigid substrates, the VersaCoater UV XL offers both a high speed and economical finishing solution for all your graphic needs. With no VOC’s, Drytac’s InstaCure UV-curable coatings are less harmful to the environment than traditional finishing systems, in line with today’s greener printing requirements. The latest addition to this machine, is the new roll-to-roll option, also showcased at the exhibition, which adds to the efficiency and speed of the machine. “When laminating large UV print jobs, our customers are faced with very tight deadlines and the 60 and 80-inch XL’s are currently the only wide format UV coater on the market that can handle this” says Drytac President, Marc Oosterhuis. “The material goes straight from the client’s printer to the liquid laminator and in no time they’re able to get the whole job printed, coated and delivered to the customer.”With all this potential, the staggering response in unsurprising and Drytac are expecting even more interest to be generated after its European launch at Fespa Digital, in Amsterdam this week. For more information about the VersaCoater UV XL visit www.drytac.co.uk or call our customer service team on 0117 9586500.

A £100,000 plus investment in a new improved coating system, enhancing further the quality and output the Bristol, UK plant. Developed and engineered in Switzerland, the new coating head offers numerous benefits including greater accuracy on coat weights and enhanced visual appearance.

Drytac, a manufacturer of graphics for finishing and display, understand that just giving good customer service isn’t enough, and have always believed in going above and beyond the expectations of their valued customers. This has indeed been emphasized further during such uncertain economic times, and so, with this strong customer focus in mind, Drytac have invested in a brand new Customer Relationship Management system. Drytac also like to ensure that their customers are getting the absolute best out of their purchases, and so run regular free training schools at their on-site, purpose built training facilities in Bristol.
